READ MORE1.What are CNC machine tools? What are the advantages and applications of CNC machine tools?
CNC (computer numerical control) machine tools are one of the indispensable key equipment in today's modern manufacturing industry. They represent the pinnacle of technology, combining the best of computer science and machining. CNC machine tools are computer-controlled to perform various machining operations such as milling, turning, drilling, etc. through pre-programmed instructions.
This automated machining process brings multiple advantages and conveniences. First, CNC machines have excellent precision and repeatability. Since the machining process is completely controlled by computers, micron-level precision can be achieved, ensuring stable quality and precision of processed parts. Secondly, CNC machine tools are highly flexible. By modifying the program, it can easily adapt to the processing needs of different shapes and sizes, providing customized production solutions. In addition, CNC machine tools can significantly improve production efficiency. Automated machining processes reduce manual intervention and enable machine tools to work continuously, thereby reducing machining time and costs. Moreover, their versatility makes them suitable for use in a variety of industrial sectors, including automotive manufacturing, aerospace, mold making, and more.
CNC machine tools can perform a variety of processing operations, including milling, turning, drilling, cutting, engraving, etc., and are suitable for processing various materials, such as metal, plastic, wood, etc. They play an important role in automobile manufacturing, aerospace, mold manufacturing, electronic equipment production and other industries, improving production efficiency and product quality.
2. Working process of CNC machine tools
CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine tools are automated machine tools controlled by computers that perform processing operations through pre-programmed instructions. They work through the following steps:
Design and programming: Engineers design CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models of parts and write CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programs to define machining paths, cutting parameters and process sequences.
Setting up the workpiece and fixtures: The operator mounts the workpiece on the machine tool and uses jigs or fixtures to stabilize the workpiece. The workpiece position and fixture position are usually determined by the workpiece coordinate system.
Loading the machining program: The operator loads the pre-written machining program into the machine tool's control system. The process of loading processing programs for CNC machine tools is also relatively complicated. The operator imports the pre-written processing programs into the machine tool control system through data transmission media (such as USB, network). Then, select the loaded program on the machine tool's operation interface and set the relevant processing parameters, such as cutting speed, feed speed, etc. The control system parses the program instructions and converts information such as machining paths and cutting parameters into instructions that the machine tool can understand. Finally, the machine tool starts to perform processing operations according to the loaded program, controls the movement of the tool or workpiece, and completes the predetermined processing tasks.
Execute machining operations: Once the program is loaded, the machine tool can begin to perform machining operations. The control system controls the movement of the tool or workpiece according to the program instructions, and performs cutting, drilling, milling and other processing operations according to the preset parameters.
Monitoring and adjustment: During the machining process, operators usually monitor the operation of the machine tool to ensure machining quality and safety. Depending on the processing situation, the cutting parameters or processing paths may need to be adjusted.
Completion of processing: Once processing is completed, the machine tool will stop and notify the operator to remove the processed workpiece. After the workpiece has been inspected and cleaned, it can enter the next processing link or leave the factory.
